One-time licence fee
For perhaps larger employers, particularly those wishing to get more involved with e-Learning on a realistic cost basis, there can be no better way than licensing the content in these two unique programmes.
Since we expect licensees to customise the courses, we think it neither fair nor reasonable to charge you a renewable, annual licence fee! So we have introduced an entirely new concept to e-Learning pricing!
OPTION 2: Perpetual licence
The Perpetual Licence fee is one-time only, ie it is not payable annually. The licence covers the entire IPR of the base content; whilst the IPR of the base content continues to be owned by The Training Foundation, it is licensed to you for perpetual use internally. (the licence does not permit resale or external distribution).
You may license an entire Programme, eg. The Responsible Employee, or simply a number of individual courses (minimum three)
Customising courses
As a licensee, you will likely wish to customise the base content and/or develop entirely new courses. You may do this by also licensing Acce-Lerator, our easy-to-use authoring system.
Your Acce-Lerator licence uniquely includes access to, and use of, the Programme's business graphics library, which, with over 500 images, has a development value in excess of £80,000.
Course delivery options
If you have used Acce-Lerator to customise or develop new courses, there are two alternatives for delivering these materials to your students:
a) Use your own network or learning management system (LMS). Acce-Lerator generated content is standards-compliant and requires no additional software or ‘plugins’. If your LMS does not conform fully to these standards, we can provide consultancy services to integrate the material with your system.
b) Use the Train for Work learning portal. Your courses may be uploaded to the portal and your students access them using this Internet-based service via your own company branded registration page. Your nominated administrator will have access to management reports recording student registrations and progress via the system, help-desk support is provided. There is a hosting fee for this service.
Support Contract
A Support Contract is included in your initial licence fee but is then optionally renewable after the first year at 20% of your course licence fee. This entitles you to:
- a periodic newsletter advising legislative changes impacting each course licensed
- access to our support desk for technical queries etc
- up to twp places on a 1-day Customisation Workshop
