Age discrimination course now available
A new course, 'Managing for all ages', has now been added to The Responsible Manager programme.
With the introduction in October 2006 of the Employment Equality (Age) Regulations, all those in employment and vocational training in the UK are protected against discrimination, harassment or victimisation on the basis of their age. Both young and old now benefit from the right to equal treatment in such key areas as recruitment, training, promotion, redundancy and retirement.
The purpose of this course is to help you increase your ability as a manager in three important ways:
- minimising the risk of age-related problems within your area of responsibility;
- handling effectively any age-related problems that do arise within your area of responsibility;
- promoting a positive attitude to the subject of age within your area of responsibility.
The course is aimed at supervisors and managers at any level that are responsible for managing others. It is not specifically designed for owner-managers or those who are responsible for establishing age-related policy within an organisation.
